Dayton is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dayton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My 2nd grader read a scholastic article this past school year that was about the Thomas Dambo trolls. When I looked into them, I discovered we had not 1, not 2, but 3 of them here in Ohio! So this summer my kids (8 & 13) and I took a little road trip from central Ohio over to Dayton to investigate. We started in the nature center. The folks at the front desk were very helpful & knowledgeable. The nature center had a bunch of rooms to explore; we spent a good 45 minutes there before even heading onto the trails. The trails themselves were fairly standard metro park type trails; unimproved in parts, wooden walkways in others. If it rains a lot the day before or the day of, make sure you wear good hiking shoes since it would be muddy and slippery. It took about 20 minutes to get to the first troll and it was magical to see! The first was my personal favorite. It took another 20 or so to walk to the second troll. And then it would have taken longer than my 8yo could handle to get to the 3rd, so we chose to drive to the 3rd. The 3rd is located near the Aullwood Farm, which is included in your ticket purchase. I think if youβre an Audubon Society member, admission is free, but donβt quot

A lovely park, so peaceful. The bluebells have peaked, but there's so much more to see. One of my favorite places.

Aullwood Garden MetroPark is a peaceful and beautiful place to visit, especially in the fall. The colorful trees and quiet trails make it perfect for a relaxing walk, and the Stillwater River views are simply gorgeous. The whole park looks amazing from above β the mix of fall colors and winding paths makes it a fantastic spot for traditional and aerial photos.
